The Lagos State government has made a resolute commitment to eliminate the existing backlog of pensions by the end of 2023. This declaration was made by Mr. Afolabi Ayantayo, the Commissioner for Establishments and Training, during a media interaction with journalists on Monday.

Ayantayo emphasized Governor Sanwo-Olu’s strong determination to clear the pension backlog, expressing confidence that this endeavor would be successfully accomplished by the close of 2023. Furthermore, he announced that individuals retiring from 2024 onward would receive their pension entitlements without delays.
