The Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) will hold its third retreat tomorrow for the Senate’s Joint Committee on Establishment and Public Service and the House of Representatives’ Committee on Pensions.

The retreat, titled “17 Years of Pension Reform: Challenges, Gains, and Opportunities,” will take place tomorrow through Sunday, July 11.

Former PenCom DG Muhammed Ahmad; DG, Institute for National Transformation and Member, Governing Board, Nigerian Prize for Leadership, Prof. Vincent Anigbogu; and the President, PenOp, Chief Executive Officer ARM Pensions, Mr. Wale Odutola, will speak at the retreat.

In a statement, Odutola stated: “PenOp is having its Third Annual Retreat. A two-day event for some members of the House of Representatives and Senate overseeing the pensions industry.’’

Two of these events had previously taken place in 2018 and 2019 but were unable to take place in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

“The event is part of an ongoing strategy to strengthen the relationship between the pension industry and legislators, as well as to create a forum to discuss and propose solutions to emerging industry challenges.”
