In 2021, the Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board distributed N9.403 billion to 12,627 individuals as entitlements.
“We paid a total of N9.4 billion to 12,627 recipients from January to December.” In terms of 2021, this means we owe no retirees. Its Executive Secretary, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu, told newsmen in Dutse on Wednesday that the payment of pensions to retirees is up to current.
He explained that the funds were distributed to 2021 retirees as retirement benefits, death benefits, death pension balances, and monthly pensions.
He stated that the board and the state government will continue to ensure the welfare of workers in order to improve service delivery and the well-being of retirees after service.
According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the sum includes N484 million paid on Wednesday to 209 personnel who will retire in December 2021.
It also included death benefits, death pension balances, and worker refunds of 8% monthly contributions.
