…may drop names of pensioners who fail to confirm aliveness from the pensioners list by 31st of March, 2024

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) is urging all pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) who have not confirmed their aliveness using the “I Am Alive” confirmation to do so immediately.

Pensioners are required to confirm their aliveness every 6 months to ensure they continue receiving their monthly pension directly into their bank accounts.

To ensure full participation in this exercise, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, the Executive Secretary of PTAD, initially approved a 1-month extension for all pensioners. However, any pensioner who fails to confirm their aliveness before the end of March 2024 will be removed from the April 2024 pension payroll. Dropped pensioners will be automatically restored to the payroll once they confirm their aliveness.

PTAD has shared the names of pensioners yet to confirm their aliveness with Pension Unions, Associations, and Institutions. Additionally, SMS notifications have been sent to the affected pensioners.

Pensioners can visit the PTAD website, www.ptad.gov.ng, to access the list of pensioners yet to confirm their aliveness. If your name is on the list, please click on the following link to complete your “I Am Alive” confirmation: https://iamalive.ptad.gov.ng/
